Instructions for Use, and Furniture Care
Basic Requirements to the Room
- The furniture should be placed in heated and ventilated dry warm rooms with ambient temperature from + 10 to + 30°C and relative humidity 45 to 70% (as per GOST 16371-93).
- The floor in the room in which the furniture is placed should be even and horizontal. If the floor is sensitive to deformation (bends under load, deforms with temperature/humidity fluctuations), or if the furniture is under dynamic load, the facades may open on their own. This does not mean poor quality and does not constitute grounds for replacement of a defective product.
CAUTION!
- Do not place the furniture in open terraces (verandas) or out-of-doors.
- In the process of use the furniture should not be placed in rooms where humidity is extremely high or low, or where humidity fluctuations are high.
- The furniture should be placed at least 50 cm from damp and cold walls and heat sources (convectors or other heaters).
Instructions for Use
- Each piece of furniture is intended for a specific purpose and, thus, should be used as described in the accompanying Assembly Instructions.
- To use of the furniture properly, arrange things inside wardrobes, cabinets and drawers and on shelves evenly to ensure optimal distribution of load. Things of shelves should be arranged as follows: the heaviest ones shall be placed closer to the edges (supports), while lighter things should be placed closer to the center. Lower sections of high pieces of furniture should be under higher load than upper sections – such load distribution will make the furniture more balanced. Load to the bottom of drawers should not exceed 10 kg, while shelves are typically rated for load not exceeding 8 kg.
- To prevent overturning, the furniture should be fastened to the wall, if provided in the accompanying Assembly Instructions. Furthermore, you should follow all recommendations concerning stability of the product.
- To move the furniture to another place, take everything out of it and remove all detachable shelves and drawers. In the process of transportation and storage the furniture should be securely protected against dirt, water, thrusts and heavy impacts. Special attention should be paid to prevent falling of components of the furniture from any height.
- To prevent misalignment of doors and drawers of the furniture, all doors and drawers should be kept closed.
- Keep in mind that most of hinged wardrobes open by 90°. If you try to open the door wider, hinges may fail.
- Protect surfaces and assembly units of the furniture against heavy impacts and scratching. Do not use abrasive cleaners to clean the furniture.
CAUTION!
Protect the furniture against:
- Direct sunlight;
- Penetration of dirt and foreign matters into mechanisms and gears of furniture accessories;
- Contact with paint and adhesive textures (adhesive tapes, glue, chewing gums, etc.);
- Do not put hot things on furniture surfaces without heat-resistant pads.
The furniture should also be protected against:
- Low temperatures (below -25°С);
- Short-time exposure of edge-banded facades and other elements to temperatures higher than + 85°C and their long-time exposure to hot air (hotter than + 50°C);
- Contact with any fluids containing solvents (alcohol, acetone, nail polish remover, gasoline, etc.), and with aggressive fluids (acids, alkali, oils, etc.) or their vapours.
- In the process of use the furniture should be protected against direct contact with water. Our products are made of moisture-resistant (but not water-resistant) particle boards. Thus, they can only withstand short-time exposure to water. Prevent accumulation of water or other fluids on furniture surfaces. Avoid contact of edge-banded elements with water.
- Some products (such as benches, banquettes, chairs, beds, etc.) are specifically designed to support weight of a kid. Any other products and elements (e.g., wall storage units, rack cabinets, shelves, drawers, etc.) are intended for games and storage only as provided in relevant Assembly Instructions.
WARNING!
To prevent injuries, furniture elements must be used as intended – it is prohibited to stand and sit on shelves and tables, to hang on hinged doors, to climb into drawers and pull-out components. Protect the furniture against abrupt impact – do not jump, push, pull, slam doors or drawers, throw the furniture, shift furniture weight from one support to another, shake, swing on the furniture, etc.
Furniture Care
- Clean the furniture with a soft damp cloth using neutral soap solution. Then soak the cloth in clean water and wring it dry. Finally, dry the furniture with a dry soft cloth.
- Spots of dirt should be removed immediately. If you leave furniture surfaces dirty for some time, it may damage the furniture and result in formation of stains and spots.
- Remove dirt and dust softly without pressure. Do not try to scrub old stains off furniture surfaces.
- If you occasionally spill water or any other fluid on a furniture surface, remove it immediately with a dry cloth.
- The furniture can be dry-cleaned with a vacuum cleaner with a “soft brush” attachment.
- In the process of use some mechanical components (hinges, slides, door opening mechanisms, etc.) may become loose. This may result in creaking, jamming of drawers and doors, etc. Do not try to open a stuck door, drawer or any other moving furniture component with excessive effort. Any fault can be prevented by timely adjustment (and lubrication, if required) of hinges, latches and roll-out systems (all the said works are to be performed by the customer independently). To prevent loosening of threaded connections, you should tighten them from time to time with due care, since excessive effort applied to assembly units and connections may result in their failure.
WARNING!
- No plastic or metal cleaning aids (scrubbers or kitchen sponges) should be used to clean the furniture. Do not use any aggressive and abrasive materials and acidic or alkaline detergents. It is prohibited to use baking soda, powders or pastes which are not intended for furniture care.
- Any cloth used to clean the furniture should be free of aggressive chemical substances, compounds and inclusions of abrasive materials and elements.
Quality-Related Claims. Warranty
- As soon as the furniture is delivered, inspect its packaging for any damage and traces of water. If the packaging has been damaged, do not assemble the furniture, since we do not accept and replace any product which has been assembled.
- If you detect a defect in the furniture, please, file a claim executed in two counterparts in writing to the vendor and append images of the defects to the claim. A detailed description of all defects should be provided in the claim. One counterpart of such claim should either be delivered to the vendor personally or sent by mail as a registered letter. If such claim is delivered personally, the date and the position and name of the person to whom the claim was handed shall be specified on the second counterpart.
- Any claims shall be filed to the vendor within the warranty period. The customer shall provide the invoice. The warranty period is 18 months from the day of delivery (the day on which the invoice is signed).
- The storage period is included to the period of use. The furniture shall be stored as provided in the Instructions for Use and Furniture Care.
- Any of the following events will make the warranty null and void:
- Furniture which is not used as intended or which is used not in line with the Instructions for Use;
- Improper assembly or placing of the furniture;
- Any mechanical damage of any component or coating of the furniture (broken, chipped, deformed or bloated furniture) resulting from improper assembly or use;
- Any attempt to modify the furniture independently;
- If any signs of intervention or unskilled repair by any third party are visible.
- If a furniture component is replaced by the manufacture, its shade may differ from that of the original element.
- Decisions on repair covered by warranty or replacement of a defective component at manufacturer’s cost are made by “Ladya” LLC.
